421 · Luxury Beach Condo with Waterfront Pool and Stunning Balcony

Enjoyed the view of the water and the central location.

Positive: The condo was beautiful. It actually looked as good as it did in the pictures. I find that doesn't usually happen. Staff were very friendly without exception. At night in the small beach area, they lit torches and had a camp fire. Sunsets were gorgeous, and the weather was pretty perfect. We went to two different ball parks for spring training games while we were down there. That was pretty great. Negative: The door lock didn't work properly. More than half of the time, it didn't lock. At night, we could use the flip lock and feel more secure, but during the day, it was a problem. I texted Christine, who was on vacation, and asked if there was a trick to it, and she assured me it should automatically lock within about a minute. It didn't, and we tried everything we could think of (slamming, messing with the doorknob, etc.) She said to let her know if we still were having problems and they would take care of it. Our fault that we didn't, but we had tickets to various events, and didn't want to get stuck waiting for someone to take care of it, or advertise to an unknown repair person that the place wasn't locked. We just didn't leave anything of value in the place whenever we left. But it was a bit unnerving. The first two days we were there, the carpet in the hallway outside our unit was being replaced. The floor was sticky with glue outside the unit, and they weren't always there to put down boards so that you could get out without stepping in it. Other than that, the traffic was pretty terrible in the Tampa area, and thank goodness for the restaurant at the pool area. It was impossible to even get into other area restaurants at times, so it saved us more than once.

I would not stay here again. Positive: The location was great. Negative: As soon as you walk in, you are overwhelmed by the smell of mold/mildew. I had to open the slider to get fresh air. The place is not very clean as far as the carpet, walls and the mold/mildew in the bathroom behind the toilet. The couch is for looks and not actual use. It is very small, like a love seat and hard. It lays flat but only a child could fit on it. And it’s like sleeping on the floor. The pictures are deceiving, it looks bigger and spotless clean in the pictures. If they could clean up the carpet, walls, mold/mildew in bathroom and not advertise the couch to sleep on. This would be a place for a single person or couple to stay in the queen bed. I took photos, so I have those to show what I’m talking about.
